I absolutely loved reading this! We took our two sons (4 years and 6 months) on their first canoe trip that same weekend, and I can definitely relate to many of the things you said about Aurora. The wonders of the wilderness. My favorite picture was "Happy girl" - great photo capturing a great moment.

Thank you! When I get a chance, I'll have to take some time to figure out how to properly add videos & Maps etc.

Great trip! I've been through there and you have nailed it. Your report makes me bitting at the bit for my trip in Sept. We are going out of Sawbill and taking the lady chain then up the Louse river to Wine lake , then back to Sawbill. I didn't know about the mine. That is great to know to look for thanks

Excellent report and quality writing. I have been through the area several times, most recently May 14 - 18, when I was stymied by ice upon South Temperance and couldn't make my loop through Brule. The high camp site on Jack is...high. If that is where you found the moose skull, I am glad it is still intact as there was one on the site several years ago. Regarding the fishing...I have never had much luck in that section of lakes. I'll be sure and explore that mine the next time I'm on that loop. Wow, talk about a menagerie of moose, good for you! Thanks for sharing your family adventure.
