There are actually two sets of small rapids - one first entering the river, which you could walk through or portage quickly around on the north side and the second after a little pond - which we dragged the canoe through with a little effort. Get your feet and ankles wet and you don't need to unload anything - kind of fun and was good practice for later.

There is supposed to be a portage north of campsite 7V, but I didn't use it. I just walked the canoe upstream through the rapids, easy.
