Traveling downriver there are two different landings; I used the "high water landing" that is a bit tricky for a solo traveler. The trail starts steep then I encountered a section with blowdown that could be passed by.There's a second landing further down river that was blocked by logs in 2022. In June 2023 the upper part of the portage had even more blowdown, so I decided to use the lower landing despite high water to bypass the blowdown. The logs that blocked the landing were gone. On the Lower Wabakimi Lake Side there are also different landings that you can use according to water level.
