This portage is very easy. I have never run the rapids because of all of the trees that have fallen over into the rapids. Landing on the north side empties into a mucky bottom so be careful when you step into the water. It's that stinky mud no one likes.

At certain water levels the stretch of rapids the portage goes around can easily be run. But the portage itself is quite easy. The landing on the Gneiss lake side will likely be mucky. Between the trail and the river was an over abundance of raspberries.
