We stayed at Cap during the 2020 pandemic, hoping to steer clear of the crowds. It was a lot of work to get there (lots of long portages), but it was totally worth it. The site is perched up on a rock, which is a little awkward to get up to, but has a great 280-degree view of the lake. If you're travelling in a very small group, this is a great site and could be good for a layover if you are interested in seeing wildlife. We saw ample evidence of fresh moose and wolf tracks and fresh scat on the portages. Would be worth bringing the good camera and waking up before dawn to try to capture a moose on film.

Awkward landings. Elevated site that is obviously underused. Not a lot of extra room or viable/useful tarp options. Tent pads are decent but, eat up a lot of the limited available space. Likely won't have much traffic pass by.

Decent site on a rocky point. Had a lot of freshly downed trees in it when we visited. One of the tent pads was completely covered by a large downed tree forcing us to improvise and set up tents in the trail between the landing and the grate. Fun to swim out to the rocks west of the site..
