This would be a 5 star site if it were not for the vicious biting insects. Worst I have seen in my approximate 20yrs of visiting Algonquin. I would not go back to this lake. Also tried some fishing, didn't get a single bite. Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the max number of tent pads or number of good pads as I was camping solo and 1 tent pad is all I needed. I thought this might be a nice easy lake to get to since it is off the main Hwy 60. This year is one of those record dry years with a complete fire ban. Low rainfall should mean few mosquitoes, but Sunday creek leading to Norway is essentially mud lined and I think this is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, just clouds of them. Also biting flies, to a lesser extent.
