I stayed on this small island overnight and loved it. Very unique, since the last fire wiped out all the trees, so half the island is bare rock outcrop and the other half are fallen over trees. The fire ring is nice and there are some flat grass covered spots for a tent or two. 5 stars since this is the only spot to camp on Dunstan Lake.

This was the only campsite on Dunstan that is really serviceable since the fire. There is a decent fire pit and a few spots to put a tent. There are no mature trees on the site but some regeneration is coming back. In a few years this might be a decent site again.

Roomy, open campsite, no bugs. Good landing, good swimming. We stayed there in August of 2000.
